Chase PotterSighing Katherine McLaggen pushed the doors leading into Havisham's Café open with her back, her hands full of various objects she needed for work that morning. In one arm she had two binders full of various story ideas her superiors wanted her to look over and make edits to when needed, as well as a piece of parchment that her fellow secretary shoved in her face the moment she walked in, stating with a smile that she needed to go on a coffee run or it would be her head. How someone could say something like that in a chipper tone was beyond Kat, though she believed it spoke more about her mental state then her personality.
When she turned around to face the counter Katherine heard herself groan, she so didn’t need this right now. The Café was full of grumpy Witches and Wizards who were waiting to have their morning Coffee, however the line wasn’t moving because something was going on behind the counter. It was moments like this when Katherine truly believed her dream to become a respected journalist wasn’t worth it, I mean she was basically an intern.
Glancing around the shop she froze when she saw someone she knew, well not knew, she didn’t know him personally but she knew who he was, everyone did. When someone up at the counter caught her eye Katherine glanced away from the well-known Chase Potter to figure out how long she was going to be here for. “I am so sorry folks,” the pudgy man in the cheap suit said with a forced apologetic smile, “It will just be a couple more minutes, before he could finish his sentence Katherine heard the crowd begin to complain. Rolling her eyes as the owner Katherine lifted her arm to take a drink of her own coffee, which she had woken up early to get, when she saw someone out of the corner of her eye step out of line and run into her causing her drink to spill all over her new blouse. Gasping Kat dropped her cup and tried to ignore the pain as she started to fumble to get her wand out of her bag as she watched the man leave without apologizing.
I edited the end (The same thing happens) because I didn't like the way I originally wrote it on my phone
