Character Name:Freya Louise Tyler
Age:20
Birthday: 13.10
Previous School/House: Hogwarts, Hufflepuff
Shop/Position Applying For: Barmaid at the Leaky Cauldron
Appearance:
Freya is attractive, in a very obvious way and she is well aware of it. She has long dark brown hair and almond shaped chocolate coloured eyes. Standing at five foot five and a half inches Freya is marginally above the average height of a woman- though by no means could she be considered tall. Freya is very slender, she can’t claim to have a womanly figure or to have curves in any of the right places. Her body was more like that of the models in muggle magazines, very thin with small waists and barely any hips or bust.
Personality:
In a word flighty. Freya is a free spirit, she doesn’t feel the need to set down roots or get a ‘real’ job. She likes living day to day and has never wanted to think about the future. She likes who she is and doesn’t care what other people think of her. She is well travelled and has picked up a few languages on her travels around the world. She loves to party, whether that’s going to a nightclub or sitting around in someone’s flat with a few bottles of firewhiskey and a wizarding wireless.
Character History:
Freya was born late at night on October 13th 2002, a few hours after her twin brother Finn. Being the youngest of three children and the only female Freya felt far too babied and over protected growing up. She was far from a timid little soul and didn’t feel as though she needed the protection that her father and brothers seemed determined to send her way. By the time she turned eleven Freya was desperate to get to Hogwarts. She never really considered how lucky she was to have her brother there with her. Her mother had taken her aside before she boarded the train, wanting to explain to her only daughter that she might be alone of the first time in her life. Before she left for Hogwarts there had never been any chance for her to be alone, she had always been with Twin. They had been best friends by default their whole lives. Freya wasn’t afraid to take on the possibility of this challenge though. She wanted the opportunity to be more than just one of the twins. She was her own person and Hogwarts was her chance to prove this.
Freya was far from shy, making as many friends as she could. She was however, relatively naïve. During her fifth year something changed in Freya’s attitude. She had always been happy, confident and outspoken, but then she met him. Well, she didn’t exactly meet him. It was hard not to at least know everyone’s face at Hogwarts, it wasn’t exactly a big school. But it was during at the middle of her fourth year that they hit it off. He had been a year older than her. He manipulated her. She had always been so sure of who she was, but he consumed her. He was interesting and witty and charming. He was also cheating on her. For the entire time that they were dating. She ignored all the warnings that people had given her, deeming them jealous of her relationship. She didn’t believe it until she saw it herself. And that was after she had made the mistake of giving the cretin her virginity. That summer had come as a relief to her. She spend the first half of it crying in her room, trying to put back together the strong independent girl that she knew she was. By the time she went back to Hogwarts for her fifth year she was ready to make him sorry for what he had done to her. She was ready to make him beg on his knees to have her back. And she never would. However she was never quite the bright eyed girl she once had been.
It was a turning point in Freya’s life. She put relationships behind her. She had sex with different men, some fuck buddies, some one night stands. She didn’t let anyone close enough to hurt her. She became a party girl, more so than she had ever been. Men could look- and sometimes touch, but everything happened on her terms. Shortly after she graduated from Hogwarts Freya took off. She packed a bag, emptied her Gringots Vault and left a note saying she would be back when the money ran out and she had seen what she wanted to see. That was close to two years previously. She had occasionally written home. Writing muggle post card and sending them through the muggle post so that by the time they reached home she had already moved on. She knew that if she was traceable there was a possibility of her father or brother showing up to drag her home. She was busy getting some life experience. They money had long since run out, she worked to get what she wanted. And one day she just felt ready. She had been laying on a beach in Dubai and decided that it was time. She had gone back to the little flat she had been staying in with some friend she had met on her travels and told them that it was time for her to go home. And that they should come visit her in London someday. She backed her rucksack that had held all of her belongings for the last two years and spent the next few days making her way close enough to England that she could apparate home and surprise her family.

She had finally made it back to England. It smelled different than she remembered. It was cold and grey, nothing like the bright sunny beaches she had been flitting from for the last two years. She didn’t know why she had decided now was the time to come home. It wasn’t as though it was because the money had run out. If she had come home when the money ran out then she would barely have been away six months. No she had worked various different jobs where she travelled, worked in bars, did some waitresses. Picked oranges in Spain and grapes in the vineyards of the south of France. She did tours in Japan and worked in beach hut bars on many different islands- some of which she no longer remembered the name of.
She just lived. Lived and saw things, met people, went places. It had been amazing. She wasn’t the girl who left London. She had grown as a person. She had seen more, done more, she was more cultured. She could speak fluent French and Spanish as well as being able to get by with her Japanese. She just immersed herself in the world and taken everything she could from it. But now it was time to go home. And home was a very different place than she remembered it. Walking along the dark streets she still had her rucksack of belongings on her back. It was late, nearing midnight, but she had been travelling so long and she was sure that her brother wouldn’t mind her showing up at this hour. Not when it had been so long since he had last seen her. She walked the empty streets until she stood outside the block that was reminiscent of being sixteen and sneaking out to pubs. Dylan had always covered for her. She rang the buzzer and waiting for a reply. “Guess who, big brother.”
