Welcome to The Magical Realm! This is the first place that you should come upon making an account on TMR, as it is essentially a walkthrough of how to get started with your character, up to the point of posting. This thread includes all the links and all the information that you will need in order to become a fully fledged member here on TMR. So, without further ado...

STEP ONE

First of all, you must create an account on TMR. The likelihood being that if you have reached this thread, you will have already done so. If you haven't, and you have just reached this page by chance or curiosity, please click here to create an account here on TMR. 


STEP TWO

Now that you have an account on TMR, you should have some idea of who you'd like your character to be. The first step to take is to read the rules of the forum, and post in the thread that you have done so. Please click here to read the rules.


STEP THREE

Now that you have read and agreed to the rules here on TMR, you need to start making some decisions about who you want your character to be. A boy or girl, a student or an adult, or else something completely different, like a muggle or a werewolf. 

If you want your character to be a student, please click here to go to the sorting ceremony, where you will find all of the information that you need, and the application form. If you are confused about where to post the application, then please post it here in a new thread. If you are confused about how to fill in the application, then please refer to the sample application.

If you want your character to be an adult, please click here to go to adult registrations, where you will find all of the different registrations for adult characters. If there is something you wish to apply for that is not on the list, then please create an application in the miscellaneous registrations board, found here. If you are unsure of how to fill in the application, please refer to the sample applications associated with each registration thread.


STEP FOUR

Now that you have submitted your application, unfortunately it's time to play the waiting game. The admin should review your application within twelve hours, but in the mean time, you can claim the celebrity that you want to represent your character. To do this, please click here and reply to the thread using the code provided. 


STEP FIVE

Yay! Your wait is up and your character has been sorted. You'll see that your character now has a pretty coloured name that corresponds to their position, and a description to match. You should also find that your face claim has been added to the list of approved claims, and now the fun begins. From here, you can find a 150px x 150px avatar and a 500px x 225px signature to represent your character. You can either make these yourself, find them somewhere, or ask one of our dedicated graphics makers to make one for you.


STEP SIX

When your character has been completely approved, and avatars and signatures assigned, you can start finding some plots. Whether it be via the chat box with other members, or through a specially designed plot request thread found here.


STEP SEVEN

And that's it, you're all done and ready to start posting and RPing to your heart's content! Have fun and good luck!
